Elimination of Violence against women

' International day for the elimination of Violence against women '                                    (Wednesday,Nov.25,2020 )
Women have always been the most vulnerable and exploited section of society.Since ages they have been victims of humiliation, torture and violence. The word 'Violence' has been derived from the Latin word 'VIOLENTIA' which stands for force used to inflict injury or damage.According to WHO 35% of women worldwide have experienced either physical and /or sexual violence in their lifetime.
This year's theme of' International day for the elimination of Violence against women' is 'Orange the world:Fund,Respond,Prevent, collect!'.The colour orange signifies a brighter future which is free from violence.Factually speaking violence against  females is  the most widespread, persistent and devastating human rights violation in the world which goes largely unreported due to the impunity, silence, stigma and shame surrounding it.In urban India they are not safe on roads, in parks ,public transport, theatres, educational institutes and workplaces .The condition of rural women is even worse because of less education and awareness.Women empowerment is a burning issue these days and to fortify their position we must keep in mind....
1 Laws alone can't do miracles.
2 Somehow the mindset of males has to be changed.
3  Females should be made stronger            through education, economy and                martial arts.
Although economic independence has added to her confidence to march ahead and conquer the world but the pitching battle which she fights daily on this journey is not only painful but disgusting.
Let us all  pledge on this day and see that they are no more subjected to any domestic, social and criminal violence.
